Lauren Hunter, Master Knitter (without dropped threads), has an extensive background in entertainment. She worked in talent representation for over 7 years and is well versed in the business of media and entertainment. Lauren was a Talent Manager at Greenlight Management & Production, where she worked with numerous Oscar, Emmy, Golden Globe and Tony Award winning actors. She has a keen eye for talent and an acute ability to know "what's hot" in media for the Gen X and Gen Y demographics. Moreover, she has a sound understanding of how effectively integrate media into all business platforms.

 

Lauren is currently pursuing joint graduate degrees from Syracuse University - a Masters in Media Management from the acclaimed S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and a MBA from the Martin J. Whitman School of Management. She holds a B.A. in Film from Vassar College.

 

At Syracuse, Lauren is co-founder and President of Whitman Women in Business. She is also an active member of the Whitman Consulting Club, the American Marketing Association, and the Black Graduate Student Association. She also volunteers her time with the Harlem Cultural Archives.

 

She has always had a passion for entertainment. As a child, Lauren starred in numerous television commercials. Although she gave up acting to attend the prestigious Deerfield Academy, Lauren never lost sight of making her interests her vocation. During her undergraduate years, she interned at ABC News 20/20, The American Pavilion at the Cannes Film Festival, and HBO.

 

Lauren joins the Mill Square Group as a MBA intern because her skill set extends far beyond the entertainment industry - she has her finger on the pulse!
